I'm counting it

Image
I got up this morning, donned my work out clothes, drove a few kids to school, picked up the hubby for a "drink"  (this means diet coke for me and water for him), took him back to work, drove home, drove back to the office to drop off the Girls Scout Cookie order form,  drove back home, helped tackle the mess that is a kitchen cupboard, did a bunch of other stuff not worthy of comment (as if this stuff is), never did my work out which was supposed to be this, halhigdon marathon training for novices   showered, and went to lunch with the ladies. I am counting it -- I got in my work out clothes!

The joys

Number 5 has decided to play baseball with the boys.   This is #1 giving her some pointers.       Makes a momma proud.

It would be nice if . . .

At lunch this week with the dh, we were talking about kids - we talk about kids a lot - and he said, in relation to one of the paths one is pursuing, "it would be nice if . . ."  I got a little smirk on my face.  I thought to myself,                "Yeah, it would be nice if.  It's always 'wouldn't it be nice if.'" I got to thinking in those few seconds after he said this, how often I say or think "it would be nice if" or some version of that same thought or idea. It would be nice if . . . .                 we had more food storage                 we could replace all the windows                 he/she would take school more seriously           ...

It's cold in Florida

I am going to Florida tomorrow with this handsome man.  Don't be jealous -- it's cold in Florida.

Yumm!

I am going to eat the entire bag.  By tomorrow.  Check back, you will be impressed!

"Mom, will you throw me some short hops?"

How many of you still get to play catch with your 18 year old son? I have bruised hands, bruised fingertips (I don't use a mitt), and often times he forgets I'm a girl.   Obviously, this is not me and no I am not anywhere on this field.    We play in the family room.  We have broken a lot of stuff.  I will miss throwing "short hops" and the broken stuff.

To begin 2010
